The Equalizer 3 is the 2023 sequel to 2014's feature film adaptation of the 1980s television series of the same name. Denzel Washington reprises his role for the first time in a feature film trilogy as former US agent Robert McCall, who after a stay in Sicily, finds himself taking on the criminal elements there. The cast includes Eugenio Mastrandrea and David Denham, in addition to Dakota Fanning, who co-starred with Washington nearly 20 years ago in 2004's Man on Fire. Richard Wenk returns from the first two Equalizer]] films to write the screenplay and Antoine Fuqua returns as director, marking his fifth collaboration with Washington, which includes Training Day (2001), and The Magnificent Seven (2016).
