Long_sea_service_conversion.jpg (504 × 179 pixels, file size: 10 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Henry Parker Long Sea service pistol conversion. A very well done conversion of an early long sea service flintlock pistol. With a 25 bore [.60 Cal] 12 inch smoothbore barrel the pistol measures 19 inches. Proof marks on top of the barrel indicate original manufacture before 1785. The hammer, bolster nipple conversion and lock plate are engraved. Lock plate marked on two lines with ‘Henry Parker / Warranted’. Converted sometime around 1820/30 the mechanism is still in good working order. A good example of recycling from 200 years ago.
