Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |

The following weapons were used in the film Ghost in the Shell:
Pistols
Major's Pistol (Glock 19)
The Major (Scarlett Johansson) uses a pistol which appears to be based on the Glock 19. She also uses a white and transparent version of the pistol when wearing her thermoptic camouflage suit.
Section 9 Pistol (Glock 17)
All members of Section 9 excluding the Major and Togusa carry Glock 17s with customised grips and an underbarrel attachment.
Jericho 941
In the bar, a gunman uses a Jericho 941 with a threaded barrel, which is commandeered by Major. This was Batou's sidearm in the 1995 animated film.
Unknown Pistol
Cutter (Peter Ferdinando) tries to using an unknown pistol during the confrontation with Aramaki.
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 29
A Smith & Wesson Model 29 revolver is used by Chief Daisuke Aramaki (Takeshi Kitano).
Chiappa Rhino 60DS
Togusa wields a Chiappa Rhino 60DS in the film. This is the modern equivalent to the Mateba style revolvers he carries in the animated films.
Submachine Guns
Section 9 Submachine Gun (Heckler & Koch MP5K)
Various members of Section 9 including Batou (Pilou Asbæk), Togusa (Chin Han), Saito (Yutaka Izumihara), Ishikawa (Lasarus Ratuere) and Ladriya (Danusia Samal) carry submachine guns resembling the Heckler & Koch UMP. However, on closer inspection of the ejection port these submachine guns are actually Heckler & Koch MP5Ks inside a futuristic shell. Saito's submachine gun is fitted with an ACOG and suppressor.
Micro Uzi
Kuze (Michael Pitt) uses a pair of Micro Uzis to fend off Batou.
Modified Mini Uzis
As in the 1995 film, gunmen use submachine guns disguised as briefcases. However, instead of Steyr SPPs, the weapons are now modified Mini Uzis. A gunman wields a pair of unmodified ones, save for wraps on the handguards, and a character named Skinny Man fires a highly modified Mini Uzi in a shell, likely designed to strengthen the gun's frame for use with High-Velocity rounds.
Thompson M1A1
At least one of the briefcase guns is a modified and shortened Thompson M1A1 45ACP.
Sterling L2A3
A gunman at the bar uses a Sterling L2A3.
Shotguns
Crye Precision SIX12
The shotgun used by Batou (Pilou Asbæk) is a modified Crye Precision Six12, fitted with the enlarged handguard of the integrally suppressed variant and a cover over the top rail. This shotgun is also used by Borma (Tawanda Manyimo).
Assault Rifles
Major's Police Bike Tavor SMG (IWI X95)
Motoko Kusanagi (Scarlett Johansson) also uses a "Police Bike Tavor SMG", which is based on the IWI X95. It seems like this weapon is meant to represent the fictional CZN-M22 used in the 1995 film, which was primarily based on the FN P90. Despite being identified as a submachine gun, the props used for the film presumably still fired 5.56x45mm NATO intermediate cartridges, rather than handgun cartridges.
SA vz.58 Compact
One of the Garbage Men uses an SA vz.58 Compact in what seems to be a hardened shell used to bolster the gun's frame while using High-Velocity rounds.
