Syndicate Sadists (original title Il giustiziere sfida la città ("The executioner challenges the city") is a 1975 Italian crime movie directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Tomás Milián as a retired criminal known as "Rambo" who returns to his native city of Milan after several years abroad. He visits his close friend Pino Scalia who now works in private security company. Soon Pino is murdered while investigating the kidnapping of the teen son of local wealthy man. Rambo decides to avenge his friend and rescue the boy.
Trivia: the name of the main character is a tribute to David Morrell's novel First Blood (the base of famous 1982 film). Milián was very fond of the book and asked several Italian producers to purchase the rights for screen adaptation but these plans could not be implemented. As a "sweetener" Milián used the name Rambo for his character.
The following weapons were used in the film Syndicate Sadists (Il giustiziere sfida la città):
Revolvers
Colt Trooper Mk III
Rambo's (Tomás Milián) favoured handgun is a Colt Trooper Mk III revolver with 4" barrel. In one scene the revolver is briefly seen in hands of Ciccio Paterno (Adolfo Lastretti).
Smith & Wesson Military & Police
Both Paterno's and Conti's henchmen use Smith & Wesson Military & Police revolvers.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers are also used by criminals.
Röhm revolver
Pino Scalia's (Mario Piave) service sidearm is a long-barreled revolver with short unshrouded ejector rod, non-vent rib over the barrel, the frame with Colt-style sloped front and thumb-catch cylinder release. The combination of these features allows to guess the revolver to be a Röhm model, like RG35 (though the screen gun has a 6" barrel, unlike RG35).
Pistols
Beretta M1951
Beretta M1951 pistols are widely used by criminals.
Beretta M1934
Beretta M1934 pistols are also used by criminals.
Beretta Model 70
Beretta Model 70 pistols are also used by criminals.
Wz. 35 Vis
During the heist in Paterno's illegal casino Conti's henchman (Luciano Pigozzi) holds a Wz. 35 Vis (instead of previously seen Beretta M1934). In the climactic scene a Vis is used by Ciccio Paterno (Adolfo Lastretti).
Luger P08
In the final scene Paterno Sr. (Joseph Cotten) commits suicide with a Luger P08.
Walther P38
A Walther P38 is used by a henchman (Luciano Pigozzi) when the criminals break into the apartments of Rambo's girlfriend Flora (Femi Benussi).
Submachine Guns
Thompson M1928A1
Thompson M1928A1 SMGs are used by both Paterno's and Conti's henchmen.
Thompson M1A1
Thompson M1A1s are also seen in several scenes.
Beretta Model 38/42
During Paterno's attack on Conti's base one of Paterno's men, disguised as Guardia di Finanza officer, is armed with a Beretta Model 38/42 SMG.
Rifles
Mauser 98 Sporter
In the climactic scene Rambo (Tomás Milián) uses a Mauser 98 Sporter rifle.
Other Weapons
Webley & Scott No.2 Mk. V Signal Pistol
In the climactic scene Rambo gives a Webley & Scott No.2 Mk. V Signal Pistol to kidnapped boy Giampiero Marsili (Alessandro Cocco).
