In the Name of the Fatherland (Vo imya Rodiny) is a Soviet 1943 B&W war drama movie directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and Dmitriy Vasilyev and based on the play "Russian People" by Konstantin Simonov. In Autumn 1942 Ivan Globa and Valya Anoshchenko perform a mission in a Soviet town, currently occupied by Nazi troops. They need to desinformate a German general about the plans of Soviet troops, so Globa pretends to be a defector.
