American Ninja 4: The Annihilation is a 1990 martial arts action film that is the fourth installment in American Ninja film series. The Annihilation stars both Michael Dudikoff as Joe Armstrong and David Bradley as Sean Davidson. They oppose Muslim terrorist Sheikh Masood and his military adviser Scott Mulgrew, a former British Colonel who now commands a force of high trained ninjas. Directed by Cedric Sundstrom, the movie was filmed in South Africa, hence the choice of firearms.
The following weapons were used in the film American Ninja 4: The Annihilation:
Revolvers
Llama Comanche
A Llama Comanche revolver is a personal weapon of Colonel Scott Mulgrew (James Booth).
Unidentified revolver
An antique-looking revolver with a side mounted ejector rod is seen in hands of a rebel. Its general shape resembles such old British revolvers as Tranter Model 1878 Army or Adams Mk III.
Pistols
M1911-style Pistol
Several commandos carry M1911A1-style pistols in the opening scene.
Browning Hi-Power
What appears to be a Browning Hi-Power is carried by O'Reilly (Frantz Dobrowsky), the chief of local police and Mulgrew's faithful servant. Some police officers carry same looking pistols. Trigger guards of some pistols appear to be more angular so these ones are possibly some clones, like FEG P9R.
Unidentified pistols
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
A customized PPSh-41, fitted with a pistol grip instead of a wooden buttstock, is seen in several scenes.
Shotguns
Armsel Protecta
In the opening scene two of commandos are armed with Armsel Protecta shotguns. Protecta shotguns are also seen in hands of rebels.
Remington Model 870
Pango (Jody Abrahams) is armed with a Remington Model 870 with pistol grip when he meets Sean and Carl.
Double Barreled Shotgun
Dr. Tamba (Ken Gampu), the leader of rebels, carries a hammerless Coach Gun during the final battle.
Unidentified shotguns
Pump action shotguns are briefly seen in several scenes. It is possibly a single gun, passing from hands to hands.
Rifles
Karabiner 98k
A Karabiner 98k rifle is seen in hands of a rebel.
Assault Rifles
Heckler & Koch G3
Local policemen and some of Sheikh Masood's bodyguards are armed with Heckler & Koch G3 assault rifles, mostly with shorten barrels. Some G3s with standard barrels are also seen.
Heckler & Koch G3KA4
One of the rebels carries a Heckler & Koch G3KA4, fitted with additional foregrip.
Vektor R4
In the opening scene several commandos are armed with Vektor R4 assault rifles. R4s are also seen in hands of rebels during the final battle.
Vektor R4 (mocked up as AK)
Vektor R4 assault rifles, mocked up as AK-series rifles, are seen in several scenes.
Vektor R5 (mocked up as AK)
At least one of fake AKs appears to be based on Vektor R5.
Unidentified Galil/Vektor
Some Galil/Vektor-style assault rifles are fitted with wooden handguards and folding buttstocks of unusual shape (the strange folding stock can be simply with a broken lower part).
FN FAL
Some rebels are armed with FN FAL assault rifles of unclear model (possibly South African Vektor R1s).
M16 Carbine
In the opening scene the leader of commando unit is armed with an M16 carbine, possibly a Colt Model 733. During the final battle a same looking gun is seen in hands of a female rebel.
Unidentified rifle
In the opening scene one of the commandos carries an unidentified rifle, fitted with a perforated shroud over receiver and a heavy bipod. Same rifle is seen in hands of a rebel during the final battle. It is possibly some version of FN FAL.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
A Browning M2HB is seen in hands of a rebel.
Other Weapons
M79 Grenade Launcher
An M79 grenade launcher is used during the final battle by Pango (Jody Abrahams) and then by Carl Brackston (Dwayne Alexandre).

One of the commandos in the opening scene carries a crossbow. Several ninjas also use crossbows while bows are most often seen in their hands.
