Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is a turn based strategy game originally released for IOS with PC and Android ports released later.
The game is set in 1915 as Captain Hill and his squad find themselves fighting against a German Cult plot and Mythos monsters.
The game would receive a pseudo-sequel with Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics by some of the original developers.
Firearms are split up into a few in-game categories using their own weapon skills as Handguns, Rifles, Shotguns and Machine Guns. (With Machine Guns labelled as "Heavy Weapons" in-game.)
The following weapons appear in the video game Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land:
Pistols
Mauser C96
The Mauser C96 pistol appears as the basic starting pistol with Captain Hill, Professor Brightmeer and Carl Green having it by default. Karl also starts with in the Karl's Diary DLC missions.
Lancaster Howdah Pistol
A Lancaster Howdah Pistol appears as the "Handcannon" of the handgun category, having the same AP cost as the C96 but with much higher damage to compensate.
Revolvers
Webley Revolver
A Webley Revolver appears simply as the "Webley"
Shotguns
Browning Auto-5
The Browning Auto-5 appears as the first available shotgun and starting weapon of Emma Gold.
Winchester Model 1912
The Winchester Model 1912 is the second available shotgun.
Rifles
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
An anachronistic Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I appears as the default weapon of Sid "Sapper" Brown as well as the generic "Tommy" soldiers, in place of the appropriate No.1 Mk.III.
While the Mauser Gewehr 1898 is allegedly carried by German soldiers, the icon used to represent it in menus is a flipped and retextured Lee-Enfield icon, and its in-game 3D model is identical to the Lee-Enfield used by the player's forces; this weapon is also not available to the player.
Elephant Gun
An "Elephant Gun" is one of the available rifles; it appears to be based off the Lee-Enfield's model as well.
Machine Guns
"Hotchkiss M1914"
What the game claims is a Hotchkiss M1914 appears as an available machine gun. However at best the weapon instead appears to be a hybrid of various Hotchkiss models, with the magazine of the Hotchkiss M1929 and the general design resembling the Hotchkiss M1922 in overall shape and relatively portable nature.
Lewis Gun
The Lewis Gun appears as the second machine gun.
