The Becker Type M2 20mm is a machine gun developed by Germany in 1913 and used in World War 1. The Type M2 was refereed to as a machine gun at the time, but is closer to a modern auto-cannon. The Type M2 was produced by two different companies during the war, Becker and MAN. After the war in 1921, the Swedish company SEMAG bought the rights to the weapon, before they fell and let Oerlikon take over. The Type M2 served as the pattern for the well known Oerlikon 20mm Cannon.
