Special Forces (original title: Forces spéciales) is a 2011 French Afghanistan War film starring Djimon Hounsou as the commander of a unit of French Naval Commandos (Commandos Marine in French) sent into the tribal areas of Pakistan to rescue a war journalist (Diane Kruger) who has been kidnapped by Taliban forces. The film was made in close cooperation with the special forces branch of the French military.
The following weapons were used in the film Special Forces:
Pistols
Glock 17
The Glock 17 is the sidearm of many members of the Commandos Marine including Lucas (Denis Menochet), who is seen using it with a suppressor.
Glock 19
Victor (Alain Figlarz) carries a Glock 19 as his sidearm and is seen using it with a suppressor.
Glock 26
Lucas also carries a Glock 26 with a well-worn slide. When the Commandos Marine unit prepares to take on some Taliban forces, Lucas hands Elsa (Diane Kruger) the pistol.
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is the sidearm carried by Tic-Tac (Benoît Magimel). He is seen using it with a suppressor during the rescue of Elsa. Elsa (Diane Kruger) is also seen with the handgun.
CZ 75
The CZ 75 is carried by Taliban leader Ahmed Zaief (Raz Degan).
Heckler & Koch USP
During the Kosovo mission, Kovax (Djimon Hounsou) carries a Heckler & Koch USP fitted with a laser sight.
SIG-Sauer P226 X-Five
Kovax (Djimon Hounsou) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 X-Five as his sidearm in Pakistan.

Heckler & Koch MP5SD3
The Heckler & Koch MP5SD3 is seen used by several members of the Commandos Marine unit, including Kovax and Tic-Tac (Benoît Magimel), during the rescue of Elsa.
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
Lucas and Kovax are armed with Heckler & Koch MP5A5s fitted with Brugger & Thomet visor helmet stocks during the raid in Kosovo.
Heckler & Koch MP5KA4
In addition to his M4A1, Lucas also carries a Heckler & Koch MP5KA4 fitted with a suppressor.

Taliban forces in the film carry several different variants of the AK.
AIMS
Zaief is seen carrying an AIMS with an underslung AG-40 grenade launcher.
Beretta ARX-160
For the majority of the film, Kovax uses a Beretta ARX-160 as his main weapon. The rifle is fitted with a Beretta GLX-160 grenade launcher. During a scene where he is talking to Elsa while walking, his rifle briefly switches to a G36K due to a continuity mistake (we can only see the stock).
Colt Model 727
Marius (Alain Alivon) uses a Colt Model 727 carbine fitted with an M203 Grenade Launcher in addition to his MP5SD3. Elias (Raphaël Personnaz) is also seen using the carbine.
Colt M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 Carbine is seen used by several members of the Commandos Marine unit, including Lucas and Tic-Tac.
FAMAS
French soldiers at Camp Gandamak are seen carrying FAMAS rifles.
Heckler & Koch HK416
French Special Forces members are seen armed with Heckler & Koch HK416 rifles during the opening raid in Kosovo.
Heckler & Koch G36K
Commandos Marine soldiers that accompany Admiral Guezennec (Tchéky Karyo) on a rescue mission are armed with Heckler & Koch G36K rifles.
SIG SG 552
Special Forces units are armed with suppressed short-barreled SIG SG 552 rifles with backup iron sights and ACOG TA11 optical sights during the Kosovo raid.
