The Wire was an HBO television crime series created by David Simon (Generation Kill). Set and produced in the city of Baltimore, Maryland, the series focused on a different aspect of the city over the course of one season, starting with illegal drug trade and ending with the way the news media covered everything that happened throughout the series. The show ran from 2002 to 2008 for 5 Seasons with a total of 60 episodes.
