A Good Day to Die Hard is the fifth installment in the long-running Die Hard film franchise. Bruce Willis returns as John McClane, who travels to Moscow to look for his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney), only to get caught up in another terrorist plot that the two must fight their way out of. Directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines and Max Payne), the film was mostly shot in Budapest, Hungary and was released in the US on February 14th, 2013.

Pistols
Makarov PM
Jack McClane (Jai Courtney) grabs a Makarov PM from a table in a kitchen and opens fire in a nightclub in the beginning of the film.
SIG-Sauer P220 Combat
A SIG-Sauer P220 Combat is among the weapons in the trunk of the car the McClanes steal from the chechen nightclub. John McClane (Bruce Willis) takes the P220 Combat in Chernobyl and uses it aboard the helicopter.
SIG-Sauer P229R
Collins (Cole Hauser) carries a SIG-Sauer P229R as his sidearm in the film. It is seen holstered in the CIA safehouse. John McClane (Bruce Willis) takes a SIG-Sauer P229 from the CIA safehouse after the attack, altough when he later gives the pistol to Jack McClane it has changed into a Heckler & Koch P30 in a continuity error. Yuri Komarov (Sebastian Koch) also uses a P229 in Chernobyl.
Heckler & Koch P30
John McClane takes a SIG-Sauer P229 from the CIA safe house, which later turns into a Heckler & Koch P30, as he hands it to Jack McClane.
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS, the handgun carried by John in the earlier Die Hard films, makes a brief appearance as John (Bruce Willis) fires it on the range at the film's beginning. Jack McClane (Jai Courtney) carries a Beretta (seen in the car trunk) with Hogue tan grips in his vest during the firefight in Pripyat.
Beretta Px4 Storm Sub-Compact
Irina Komarov (Yuliya Snigir) carries a Beretta PX4 Storm Sub-Compact as her sidearm in the film, and notably pulls it on her father, Yuri Komarov, at the ballroom.
Walther PPQ Tactical
Alik (Radivoje Bukvic) carries the tactical model of the Walther PPQ as his sidearm in the film, and uses it during the shootout in the ballroom.
Shotguns
Remington 870 Police Entry
Jack McClane (Jai Courtney) hands John McClane (Bruce Willis) a Remington 870 police entry shotgun with an M4-type stock, Surefire dedicated forend weaponlight and saddle shell holder in the elevator to the ballroom.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Jack McClane tkaes a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun from the trunk of the gun they stole from the chechen nightclub, and hands it to John, calling it "old school" like John. John calls it a "pirate gun".
Kel-Tec KSG
One of Alik's guards on a rooftop is armed with a Kel-Tec KSG.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW
One of Irina's men carries suppressed Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW fitted with a Mini Aimpoint sight and Surefire M900 weaponslight foregrip in Chernobyl. Irina (Yuliya Snigir) later takes the submachine gun and uses it in Chernobyl.
Rifles
FN SCAR-H CQC
John McClane (Bruce Willis) takes a FN SCAR-H CQC battle rifle from the car trunk, and uses it in Chernobyl. It is equipped with a EOTech holosight, tactical light, and AN/PEQ-15 ATPIAL.
DSA SA58 OSW
Jack McClane (Jai Courtney) takes a DSA SA58 OSW from the car trunk, and uses it in Chernobyl. It is equipped with an EOTech sight, tactical light and 20-round magazines.
AK-103
Russian troops guarding the courthouse carry AK-103 assault rifles.
AK-104
McClane fires an AK-104 modified with a tactical light and foregrip. AK-104s are seen in the hands of Jack, Alik's henchmen and Russian troops.
Steyr AUG A3
Alik (Radivoje Bukvic) and his henchmen wield Steyr AUG A3s assault rifles with 16-inch barrels and various accessories including EOTech sights and M203A1 grenade launchers.
Patriot Ordnance Factory P416
Yuri Komarov takes a Patriot Ordnance Factory P416 off a downed guard in Chernobyl.
Barrett M82A1M
When Yuri is seen being transported to trial, a Russian soldier is seen providing overwatch with a Barrett M82A1M.
Machine Guns
FN M249 SAW Paratrooper
John McClane (Bruce Willis) grabs a M249 SAW Paratrooper with an EOTech sight when the safehouse is attacked, and uses it to kill several of Alik's henchmen. Another M249 Paratrooper is used by one of Alik's goons.
DShK heavy machine gun
A DShK heavy machine gun is mounted as a doorgun on an Mi-26 helicopter.
Other
RPG-7
One of Alik's henchmen fires a RPG-7 with a PGO-7V sight during a car chase in an effort to get rid of John McClane.
Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2
A Mi-24P "Hind-F" attack helicopter can be seen opening fire with its Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30 autocannons. An Mi-26 helicopter also is seen armed with the cannons. At one point during production, the autocannon was used with live ammunition on a military firing range to capture shots of accurate weapon damage.
Zip Gun
Jack also takes up a small four-round Zip Gun when in the CIA safehouse.
