World in Conflict: Soviet Assault (2009)

World in Conflict is a real-time tactics (RTT) video game released on September 18, 2007 in North-American, later on September 20 in Australia and on September 21 in Europe. Developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft (formally by Sierra Entertainment) for the PC, World in Conflict won many Best Strategy Game awards for 2007. on March 2009, an expansion pack called World in Conflict: Soviet Assault was released and introducing six new single-player missions, which all are of the Soviet faction, also showing new characters.

The following weapons appear in the video game World in Conflict and World in Conflict: Soviet Assault:

WARNING! Spoilers are included in few pictures and their descriptions.

U.S. Army Weapons

Colt Model 733

The Colt Model 733 is seen in COL Sawyer's hands during a cut-scene, though he never fires it. This is the only time that the Colt Model 733 is seen in World in Conflict.

Colt Model 733 SMG - 5.56x45mm. Note that the Colt Model 733 has the A1E1 upper receiver (A1 rear sights, but has a brass deflector, like the Model 715 or any of the Canadian M16s)
COL Sawyer with his Colt Model 733 during a cut-scene.

M16A2 Rifle

The M16A2 is the standard issue weapon of the U.S. soldiers. In cut-scenes, the M16A2 is seen used by 1LT Parker, CPT Mark Bannon, CPL Anton “Ants” Rodriguez, CPL Michael “Mike” Thompson, CPT James Webb (with an M203 grenade launcher), and many other characters. In-gameplay, the M16A2 is only used with M203 grenade launcher.

M16A2 with M203 grenade launcher - 40mm.
In the first scene of the game, CPT Bannon has an M16A2, firing it only once at the Soviets.
Another shot of Bannon's M16A2.

Franchi SPAS-12

A stock-less Franchi SPAS-12 can be seen in the intro and in one of the CGI trailers, though not used in-game.

Franchi SPAS-12 combat shotgun with no stock – 12 Gauge.
SPAS-12 in the hands of the soldier in the foreground.

Mk 46 Mod 0

The Mk 46 mod 0 is used by one soldier in each Infantry squad. It would be more appropriate to see an FN Minimi or an M249 SAW, as the Mk 46 Mod 0 is more a special operations weapon, which also was not issued by the American military during '89. A note of interest is that the front sights are awkwardly modelled and don't look like an FN Minimi-based weapon.

M60

The M60 can be only seen used by U.S. soldiers in both the intro and New York cinematic videos.

An M252 mortar is fired by the soldier.

NATO Weapons

FAMAS F1

The FAMAS F1 is the standard issue weapon of the NATO soldiers. In cut-scenes, Commandant Jean-Baptiste Sabatier is the only NATO character to be seen carrying a FAMAS F1. Like the M16A2 and the AK-47, the FAMAS in always seen with a grenade launcher in-gameplay.

M240B machine gun

The M240B, distinguished by the rail on top, is mounted on Land Rovers and also used by one soldier in an Infantry squad. It is odd to see the M240B in use by NATO forces, as an FN MAG would be more appropriate.
