Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (stylized as Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater) is an upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater by Konami and Virtuos made for ninth generation game consoles and PC. Like the original, it is a stealth-action/third-person shooter and will follow Naked Snake during a Cold War mission in 1964 that would eventually gain him the title of Big Boss as he attempts to extract a defecting Soviet scientist by the name of Dr. Nikolai Sokolov who is being forced to build a super weapon known as the "Shagohod".
The following weapons appear in the video game Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater:
Handguns
Mk 22 Mod 0 "Hush Puppy"
The Mk 22 Mod 0 "Hush Puppy" (a Navy-modified Smith & Wesson Model 39) handgun makes a triumphant return in the remake, once more upgraded as the "MK22 Hush Puppy" tranquilizer gun.
Assault Rifles
AK-47
The AK-47 makes a return in the remake, being the standard issue rifle for many Soviet guards.
M16A1
The M16A1 returns as a weapon Snake can use. Its configuration is overall the same as the "XM16E1" from the original game except for the A1 profile barrel and three-prong flash hider. The receiver is not clearly seen.
Sniper Rifles
Mosin-Nagant M91/30
The Mosin-Nagant M91/30 returns in the remake.
SVD Dragunov
The SVD returns in the remake.

Machine Guns
Afanasev A-12.7
The Mi-24A and their Afanasev A-12.7 make a return in the remake. Thanks to the alternate history of the Metal Gear series, these helicopter gunships and their weapons would be made years ahead of their real life counterparts. Fitting for a series where giant two-legged mechs are invented during the Cold War.
Stoner 63
The Stoner 63 returns in the remake.
ZU-23-2
The 23mm ZU-23-2 twin barreled auto-cannons return as a means for Snake to shoot down the pesky helicopters and flying platforms.
Launchers
RPG-7
The RPG-7 returns in the remake.
