The Legend of Zorro
|
The Legend of Zorro is the 2005 sequel to 1998's The Mask of Zorro. Martin Campbell returns as director and Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones reprise their roles as Zorro and his wife Elena.
The following weapons were used in the film The Legend of Zorro:
Henry 1860
At the beginning of the film, Jacob McGivens (Nick Chinlund) uses a Henry 1860 rifle as he tries to steal the voting box. He mentions that if God didn't hurl lightning bolts, that He'd use this rifle. This particular rifle has an engraved brass plate and engraved trim on the stock. The Henry was first manufactured in 1862, making it anachronistic to the film's 1850 setting.
Brown Bess Flintlock Musket
Some of the soldiers guarding the voting box at the beginning of the film carry the Brown Bess Flintlock Musket. It's also carried by McGivens' men.
"Traveling" Percussion Dueling Pistols
Jacob McGivens (Nick Chinlund) also carries custom dual "Traveling" Percussion Dueling Pistols as well.
English Pattern Pocket Flintlock Pistol
Elena De La Vega (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is confronted by a pair of Pinkerton agents, one of which pulls a Pocket Flintlock Pistol on her.
As an aside, the Pinkerton Detective Agency wasn't founded until 1855, making its existence another of the film's anachronisms.
Double Barreled Percussion Shotgun
Guillermo Cortez (Gustavo Sánchez Parra) is seen using a Double Barreled Percussion Shotgun when a member of McGiven's gang tries to enter his home.
