The Devil's Brigade

The Devil's Brigade is a 1968 World War II film that stars Oscar winners William Holden and Cliff Robertson. The film is based on the true story of the First Special Service Force led by Lt. Col. Robert T. Frederick (Holden), who takes on the daunting task of melding a renegade group of American and Canadian recruits into a crack team of commandos. The cast also includes Richard Jaeckel, Bill Fletcher, Richard Dawson, Tom Troupe, Luke Askew, Jean-Paul Vignon, Tom Stern, and Harry Carey Jr.

Smith & Wesson Model 20
Captain Cardwell (Tom Stern) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 20 revolver with custom grips that he uses when he notices a rattlesnake in the barracks.
Colt 1903 Hammerless
Major General Maxwell Hunter (Carroll O'Connor) appears to carry a Colt 1903 Hammerless pistol.
M1911A1
The M1911A1 is used by several members of the Devil's Brigade including Major Alan Crown (Cliff Robertson), Private Omar Greco (Richard Jaeckel) and Corporal Wilfrid Peacock (Jack Watson).
Walther P38
The Walther P38 is fired by several German officers and soldiers in the film.

M1 Garand
Many members of the Brigade carry the M1 Garand during the final mountain assault including Pvt. Theodore Ransom (Andrew Prine).
Mauser Karabiner 98k
German forces are seen using the Karabiner 98k. Pvt. Hubert Hixon (Luke Askew) grabs a Kar98k from a German soldier during one of the missions.

MP40
The MP40 is used by German forces as well as Sergeant Patrick O'Neill (Jeremy Slate). Maj. Alan Crown (Cliff Robertson) is seen holding it at the end of the film.
M1928A1 Thompson
The M1928A1 Thompson is used by the majority of the Brigade during their first mission. It's notably used by Colonel Robert T. Frederick (William Holden), Maj. Alan Crown (Cliff Robertson), Cpl. Wilfrid Peacock (Jack Watson), Pvt. Hugh MacDonald (Richard Dawson), and Sgt. Patrick O'Neill (Jeremy Slate).

Browning Automatic Rifle
The Browning Automatic Rifle is primarily carried by Pvt. Hubert Hixon (Luke Askew) during the mountain assault. Pvt. Ransom (Andrew Prine) later uses it.
Browning M2HB
The Browning M2HB is seen mounted on the M47 Walker Bulldog tank mocked up as a German tank.
Browning 1919A4
A Browning M1919A4 machine gun is briefly seen using by the Brigade during the mountain assault.
MG42
German forces are seen using the MG42 machine gun during the mountain assault.
