The QSZ-92 is a Chinese pistol, and the current service pistol of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Though commonly claimed as being designed and manufactured by Norinco Group, Chinese government-affiliated media have primarily indicated that the weapon is designed and manufactured by subsidiaries of the China South Industries Group (CSGC); a 2019 Chinese TV documentary showed that CSGC subsidiary Jianshe is the current primary manufacturer of the QSZ-92.
The Chinese export company Norinco (not to be confused with Norinco Group) exports two 9mm models of the QSZ-92: the CF98 and the NP42. Both are branded as "Norinco" products, even though they were not manufactured by Norinco.
