Jack Holborn (1982)

Jack Holborn is a 1982 German-New Zealand TV mini-series and was the fourth ZDF Christmas series. It is a film adaptation of the 1964 pirate story of the same name by Leon Garfield. The orphan Jack Holborn is placed in the care of the Arrows by Lord Judge Sheringham. But he runs away and signs on to the privateer ship of the lord judge's twin brother. On board the "Charming Molly", he is overcome by the feeling of having been on this ship as a small child. He decides to uncover the secret of his past.
Another ZDF Christmas series is the 1986 mini-series Mino starring Guido Cella, Ray Lovelock, and Mario Adorf.

The Kentucky Flintlock Rifle is the most used rifle in the series, notably by Morris (Terence Cooper), Lord Sheringham (Matthias Habich), Janusz Vronsky (Andreas Mannkopff), Jack Holborn (Patrick Bach), and Salomon Trumpet (Monte Markham).

Some Brown Bess Flintlock Muskets are also wielded by British sailors and soldiers.
